Amy Eichler, Ph.D., LP, LSSP

Dr. Eichler is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.  She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and has been working with children and families since 1997.  She began her career in the school setting and is experienced in assessments, including autism and bilingual evaluations.   

 

Dr. Eichler primarily works with children and families on parenting, step-parenting, adjustment issues, relationship issues, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, and anyone trying to make a change in their lives.   She has been recognized for her work and research in parental alienation and continues to work with families struggling in this area.  Amy testifies in court as a therapist and has also served as an expert witness in the areas of child abuse (sexual, physical, and emotional), child development, and parental alienation.  Other services include forensic consultation and presentations.  Amy is also a certified New Ways for Families therapist and an assistant professor at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor.

Natalie Lenard, LPC

Natalie Lenard is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Natalie received her M. Ed. in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University with a focus on school counseling and community mental health. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision; she plans to complete her doctorate this year. Her research interests are animal-assisted play therapy and rural and distance counseling.

 

Natalie has worked with clients of all ages in a variety of settings. She enjoys working with all clients at each life stage and particularly enjoys working with children and adolescents. Natalie has worked with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, domestic violence, substance abuse, topics related to academia, as well as parenting, couple and family issues. Natalie is also registered as a provider for the Great Start Pre-marital program and is working towards becoming a registered Play Therapist by Summer.

Kai

Kai is the world's cutest labradoodle. Follow him on Instagram and we are sure you will agree.

 

Kai was born August 29, 2016, and he lives with Dr. Eichler and her family. Kai doesn't have any official certifications (yet), but he is currently enrolled in school learning how to be a therapy dog.

​

Once Kai completes his training he will work alongside Dr. Eichler in her Georgetown office.

Christina Sanner, Ph.D.

Dr. Christina Sanner, PhD

Dr. Sanner is a Licensed Psychologist. She received her Master’s in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling at The State of New York at New Paltz, and her Ph.D. from The University of South Dakota.

​

Dr. Sanner has worked with people all ages, including individuals, couples and families. Throughout her training, she has learned to approach emotional and behavioral issues in a number of different ways, including examining thought processes, family systems, interpersonal functioning, and the impact of one’s current and past environment. She has helped children, adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues and trauma.

​

Prior to joining Turning Point, Dr. Sanner has worked in a variety of settings, including student counseling centers, outpatient mental health, inpatient hospitals, and residential treatment centers. She has also taught in college and university.

Jonita Arogun, Psy.D.

Dr. Arogun is a Provisionally Licensed Psychologist completing her Post-Doctoral Residency under the supervision of Dr. Eichler. She received her Psy.D. from California Southern University.

​

Dr. Arogun has worked with people of all ages and admires diversity. She is passionate about mindfulness-based approaches, self-empowerment, and creating strategies for overcoming anxiety, depression, trauma, and crisis intervention. Dr. Arogun has a strong desire to help individuals become the best version of themselves by bringing healing to individuals, couples, and families.

Dr. Arogun has experience helping children, adolescents, and adults to develop healthy perceptions of themselves. She has also worked with individuals dealing with body image, self-injury, personality disorders, and skills training for parents.
